Words from our President

September 30th, 2009 by Evan McGee

I often am complimented on the Claddagh Contracting Logo. For those interested I thought I would break down the very significant symbolism embeded within the logo:

Claddagh2048-23 (16K)

This claddagh image is rife with symbolism and Irish Heritage: The Claddagh ring belongs to a widespread group of finger rings called “Fede Rings”. Fede rings are distinguished by having the bezel cut or cast in the form of two clasped hands, symbolizing faith and trust. We at Claddagh use this to remind us of our responsiblity to our clients, our community, and the environment.

This symbol is of the Templar cross. In centuries past the Templars founded what is believed to be the first banking system in the old world. Corruption and greed eventually caused the order to fall to it's enemies. We at Claddagh use this symbol to remind us of the power of monetary wealth and the responsibility to use it wisely.

wreath (2K)

This symbol is of the Laurel Wreath. In common modern idiomatic usage it refers to a victory or success. We use this symbol to help us focus on achieving success with each relationship and endeavor we undertake.

This symbol is of two crossed hammers, symbolic of us being in the trades. We use this to remind us of our commitment to quality craftsmanship in all our projects.

"We are now eager to contribute our business savvy, strategic planning skills and dynamic leadership, relationship building and administrative/financial management abilities toward collaborating in your success as a key member of your project team. We are confident that we could be a valuable asset to your project in achieving both immediate and long-term goals, and look forward to meeting with you in the near future to discuss our qualifications and how they support your project vision."
